Nail polish that doesn’t chip! It’s about time, after all..we’ve sent men to the moon.

I know most of you have heard of shellac and other popular gel polishes, and have probably even tried it yourself, but for you that haven’t, it’s time to jump on the bandwagon. Most women use the excuse to not manicure or polish their nails because it just doesn’t last! Nurses cannot wear artificial nails, or polish that’s chipping which basically means they’d have to polish every single day! These “gel manicures” are about the greatest thing to happen to the beauty industry since highlighting with foil! This is a professional service, so unfortunately you cannot do it at home, but it’s well worth the 3o minute trip to the salon-and who doesn’t wanna be pampered anyway? These polishes come in a wide variety of colors. OPI just launched their gel polish line, and it comes in all the favorite classic colors. If you’re a little gun shy when it comes to color on your nails, there’s always the forever classy french, or even just a nude or clear. They require minimal buffing for preparation, so they won’t damage the actual nail itself, and can be a great tool for growing out your nails. The process includes a mini manicure-shaping, buffing, and removing cuticle. Then, just like polish the provider will apply a base coat, 2 color coats, and a top coat onto the nails. The biggest difference will be the 30 second cure underneath the UV light between coats which is why this has to be a in salon service. The result is long-lasting and has a shiny, mirror like finish, and no need to worry at all about smudging them on anything, as they are already cured and dry. So basically all your polish woes have been “cured!”  Get it..cured? 🙂 Most salons that offer artificial nail services are doing them. In fact, it’s been the hottest thing happening in our nail dept. at work ever since it’s been released. You’ll be seeing much less artificial nails in the next few years, cuz they’re old news. Short, polished nails is where it’s at. (Ps: Black is the new french!) Dark colors are no longer gothic, but considered to be pretty classy and always in during the winter months. Be watching for brights and pastels this spring. Step into 2012 with indestructible nails!

please excuse my little boy fingers! I recently removed my acrylics, and they've left me with nothing..

to my beautiful ladies!

Welcome my beautiful ladies and perhaps gentleman to my very first post! If you’re reading this, thank you for clicking on the link to my facebook page to show your support. For the last few years my fiance has told me every single night, “You need a hobby.” A hobby? As if i have time for a “hobby”..I’d always say to him, but the truth is, I have about 2 hours everynight after the mom duties have been competed that I usually spend bitching at him or watching reality tv. So I’ve decided that I would love to share my first love with the world, and that is the always evolving world of beauty and fashion. I’m a hairstylist and have always loved anything to do with fashion really. I’ve always said that I would have loved to be a fashion designer if it wasn’t like being a rockstar, and trust me..there’s no rockstars that come out of Great Falls, MT. I’ve always been the go to gal whenever my ladies and I spend a night on the town. They always show up at my house with their hair wet and make up free in hopes I’ll work my magic. The girls at work always ask me for makeup advice, and always tell me that I should shop for them. I once had a client ask if I would come to her home, and help her put together outfits. I know I have a knack for this thing, and I wanna share my love for all things pretty with the world, because it would be selfish to keep to myself. Throughout the week I will be sharing my thoughts on upcoming trends, giving you the inside scoop in the beauty industy, writing product reviews, and sharing my favorite beauty secrets. This blog won’t be geared only to the young ladies, as I am a mama myself and would love to help make all you moms a milf, because there’s no excuse for letting yourself go just because you have the kiddos.I cannot wait to share all the pretty things the world has to offer, and would love to make the women of the world feel more beautiful, because when you look good, you feel good. So please show me some love by spreading the word, and feel free to post questions, as I would love to answer any questions you may have. Thanks!

                                                                                                                                                               xoxo,

Carly
